1. Filmora Wondershare
If you’re a beginner and want great graphics for your video, I highly recommend Filmora wondershare! It’s super beginner-friendly and has great effects priced under $100 [desktop]
You can apply transitions, use filters, add music, add special effects, and even use a green screen with a simple drag and drop face! Another great thing about Fimlora is it’s available on Windows and Mac and can be used for YouTube videos, IGTV, Instagram posts, and more with the resizing feature.
2. Final Cut Pro
This is currently what I use. It’s a little pricey, and there’s a learning curve, but it gives you so much video editing power and options. I highly recommend for intermediate and up who want a little more power when it comes to things like color grading and different video formats.
3. iMovie
Don’t sleep on the free video editing software, iMovie, if you have a mac!
iMovie does everything you need for basic editing including cutting, cropping, and adding text. While the special effects leave much to be desired and there’s a small learning curve, it’s FREE!
4. Adobe Premiere
#honestyhour while I’ve had Adobe Premiere on my computer for years, I never used it. There’s a learning curve that I didn’t want to commit to ??.
The mobile version is easier but it’s Adobe, so its a little pricey. It’s supreme video editing, though, and therefore, I recommend for advanced and up [desktop & mobile]. A lot of movie editors use Adobe Premiere, and it takes cinematic videos to a whole new level because of all the options and video editing freedom
5. Windows movie maker
Most computers come with free video editing software. For mac’s, it’s imovie, and for windows, it’s windows movie maker [pro]. It allows you to do basic things like cropping, cutting out parts of a video, adding music and text effects, which makes it perfect for new YouTubers and beginners who don’t need a lot.
It’s a great video editing software to start off with if you have a windows computer.
6. Hitfilm Express
Hitfilm is a free pro video editing software that has a friendly interface and allows you to any editing task. Special effects, adding music, transitions…it does it all! They do offer a full version, and it’s available for both mac and pc.
Which video editing software do I recommend the most?
When it comes to my favorite video editing software for YouTubers, I highly recommend filmora. I started off using this and it’s perfect for beginner and intermediate YouTubers who want great videos but don’t need all the bells or whistles (or want to commit to learning advance video editing).
Another great thing about Filmora is you pay a one time fee for the video editing software and as an add-on you can pay an additional $7.99/month for premium special effects, videos, and royalty-free audio music with their filmstocks!
Another reason why I recommend filmora is you can make videos horizontal or vertical which means you can also post your videos on Instagram, IGTV and more.
